itunes 12.5.1.21 changed half of my ratings

I recently did an update of all apps, itunes 12.5.1.21 included. I noticed some of my songs had a 4-star rating instead of 5-stars, and at first I figured it was my error. 4 days later, I've realised that half of my 5-star rated songs have been changed to 4 stars, and my 1-star ratings have been transformed into 2 stars. What the **** just happened? Has anyone had this same problem?

My specs: iMac Retina 5K 27" running OSX El Capitan 10.11.6.
My specs below say it's the 2011 model because I have not yet registered my 5K iMac as yet.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), 60GB iPhone running iOS 8.2

In My experience the changes take place every time I Sync My iPod Nano 7th gen with iTunes. I use the star rating system very intensely and it is all mixed up now. Not quite happy with that. Anybody have a clue? I use a Macbook Air with OSX El Capitan did not move to Sierra yet just to avoid these kind of hickups! It all started afetr the update to 12.5.1.21 so theres no doubt there is the problem.

Just because noone else answered this I found out myself that my problem was solved the minute I repaired my iPod to the factory settings! So If you still need an answer this might help!
